‘Antigone’, one of the plays that our senior students worked on as part of the Play Project course, premiered on the evening of 2 May 2024. Staged by our senior student Sıla Estel Giritlioğlu, Sophocles' tragedy “Antigone”, whose project consultancy and dramaturgy was carried out by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esra Çizmeci, met with the audience for the first time at the Faculty of Fine Arts NFK Theatre Hall. Theatre Department students Sıla Estel Giritlioğlu, Nuri Cabaroğlu, Melih Karlık, Rana Erol, Yiğit Furkan Atcı, Duygu Kula, Mehmet Mert Çevik, Burcu Doğru, Cansu Maral Çelik and Simge Arıcan took part in the play about the courage and tragedy of Antigone, who buried her brother, who was forbidden to be buried by the state law, according to the law of the gods. In the costumes of the play, Textile and Fashion Design Department lecturers Assoc. Prof. Gülşah Polat and Assoc. Şule Günal took part in the costumes.
