As part of the Play Project course undertaken by senior students of the Theatre Department, the play 'Carmela and Paolino' premiered on the evening of May 17, 2024. Staged by senior Theatre Department student Duygu Kula and supervised by Research Assistant Zafer Öncül, the play 'Carmela and Paolino' is an adaptation by Angelo Savelli of J.S. Sinistera's 'Ay, Carmela!'. The performance took place at the NFK Theatre Hall of the Faculty of Fine Arts, marking its first presentation to the audience. The play, set during the Nazi occupation of Italy, humorously explores the challenging political choices faced by the theatre couple Carmela and Paolino, with performances by senior Theatre Department students Duygu Kula and Yiğit Furkan Atcı.
