Japanese Rakugo artist Kimochi met with the students of the Department of Theatre at the NFK Theatre Hall on 29 April 2024 and held a workshop. The workshop, which was part of the events organised within the scope of the 100th anniversary of the Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Turkey, was coordinated by the Head of the Department of Theatre, Asst. Prof. Dr. V. Özge Zeren, and Head of the Department of Japanese Language Education, Prof. Dr. Tolga Özşen. The workshop on Rakugo, the art of traditional Japanese storytelling, was attended by students and academicians of the Department of Theatre. In addition, Japanese Language Education Department students Neriman Yakupoğlu, Zehra Zorlu, Umut Celal Kılıç and English Language Teaching Department student Yusuf Selman Köroğlu contributed to the workshop by translating.
