Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Fine Arts met with art lovers in North Macedonia as an external stakeholder in art and design activities.
The play titled "Spring Station", which was specially prepared by the Department of Theater for the joint art activities titled "Time, Space, Road", the protocol of which was made between the Macedonian Ministry of Culture and the ÇOMÜ Faculty of Fine Arts, premiered on July 8, 2023, at the Albanian Theater in Skopje. The play, written and directed by Assistant Professor Vecihe Özge Zeren, Head of the Department of Theater, was choreographed and directed by Assistant Professor Şebnem Yüksel. Nuri Cabaroğlu, one of the assistant directors of the play, took part in the sound control. Among the faculty members of the department, Associate Professor Esra Çizmeci took part in the play as a performance dramaturg, Research Assistant Zafer Öncül as a directorial assistant and actor coach, and Lecturer Yonca Yüksel as a music consultant. The play was highly appreciated with its large cast, including Yiğit Furkan Atcı, Almina Durğan, Melih Karlık, Zeynep Nur Tolgay, Abdulkadir Bozkurt, Mehmet Mert Çevik, Sıla Estel Giritlioğlu, Duygu Kula, Rana Erol, Burcu Doğru, Cansu Maral Çelik, Nil Ergen, Mehmet Çevik, Emrullah Kurt, Tuğçe Ateş, and Simge Arıcan. The play was inspired by the historical and cultural relations between Turkey and Macedonia and emphasized the importance of hope, not giving up, and unity. The play, which was staged in the big hall of the Skopje Albanian Theater, was attended by Macedonian Deputy Minister of Culture Daim Luchi, COMU Vice Rector Prof. Evren Karayel Gökkaya, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Yeşim Zümrüt, Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Kenan Saatçioğlu, and faculty members and students of our faculty who were assigned to Skopje within the scope of the project.
