Dr. V. Özge Zeren, Chair of the Theatre Department, participated in the "5th Conference on Japanese Studies in Turkey," held at Boğaziçi University from September 5-8, 2024. In her presentation, titled "Traditional Storytelling in Japan and Turkey: Rakugo and Meddah," she explored the similarities and differences between the two forms. The discussion also focused on how these storytelling traditions could contribute to contemporary theatre practices and intercultural theatre in Turkey.
